Who We Are:
GSM is a Christ-centered ministry of GracePoint Wesleyan Church focused on sharing the Gospel with students in grades 6-12. It is our mission that all students are able to encounter the grace of Jesus Christ, grow in that grace as they live in relationship with Him, and become people who share that grace with others. We desire for every student to feel seen, heard, and that they belong in the family of God and in GSM.

Our Staff:

Jaena is passionate about seeing young people come to know their value and worth in the eyes of our Heavenly Father, and become active worshippers in the church and in their life. Jaena loves playing games with friends, hanging out with her dogs, and listening to music. Student Ministry Worship Resident Pastor Audree Schaefer--Audree is starting the second year of her residency. She is passionate about using music to praise the Lord, and seeing young people grow to know Jesus and learn to express their Christian faith to others. In her free time Audree likes to hike, read, play with her dog, Dixie, and lift weights with her husband, Devan. Student Ministry Discipleship Pastor coming soon! |
Wednesday Nights:
During the school year, GSM meets in the GP Worship Center. Optional pre-service hangout starts at 6PM with games such as 9-Square in the Air, Gaga Ball, ping pong, pool, and various video games. Our snack shack is also open at this time. Service begins at 6:30PM with musical worship, messages, and small groups concluding around 7:30.
Students are free to decide if they would like to join for pre-service hangout at 6, or wait until service starts at 6:30. However, once students arrive at the church they must stay in designated GSM spaces until 7:30.
Sunday Mornings:
Mid High Growth Group: Students in grades 6-8 start 2nd hour in worship with their family or friends, and then exit during the announcements and head to the Union for a small group Bible study. New students and/or families can stop at the info Center before service to be introduced to our Student Ministry Pastor, Jaena, and get directions.
Senior High Growth Group: Students in grades 9-12 join in the Union at 8:30AM to dive deeper into Scripture and discipleship. This group is intended to be in addition to corporate worship attendance, not in place of.
Events:
We offer events throughout the year as on-ramps for new students to get connected, opportunities for returning students to invite their friends to church, and provide an atmosphere for all students to be part of Christian community.

We believe in "Family-as-Church''—that God created our immediate families as the first and primary method of discipleship. Our parents, guardians, grandparents, extended family, and close friends are the first and most effective means to disciple and build God's kingdom. So we want to do as much as we can to equip you to play that role of discipleship in the lives of those students you have influence over.
