Missions

Encounter grace, grow in grace, and give grace to our neighbors and the nations

We all have a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission

To Pray: Consistent intercession for both local neighbors and unreached nations.
To Send: Raising up people to go and Investing resources to mobilize and sustain those in global missions.
To Go: Stepping out of comfort zones to witness, whether that means stepping out in faith in Brookings or crossing an ocean.

What to Expect

The mission of God is to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven. (Colossians 1:20) Our part is to cross geographic, cultural, political, economic, and social barriers with the intention of transforming human life in all its dimensions, according to God’s purpose, and to enable human beings to enjoy the abundant life that God wants to give to them and that Jesus Christ came to share with them. Their trips are intentionally focused on mutual transformation. Find yourself as a part of God’s bigger story and the work of the church around the world.

Neighbors

An unreached people group is a people group distinguished by language and culture where generally less than 2% of the population is Christian and there is no indigenous community of believing Christians among them with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.

Jackrabbit FCA

Jackrabbit FCA exists to lead coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Through weekly FCA gatherings, team Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, leadership development, camps, and other ministry opportunities, we help student-athletes and coaches discover how the Gospel transforms every area of their lives. Our heart is to develop disciples who make disciples… equipping them to use their influence to share Christ with their teammates, campuses, families, and communities.

Global Neighbor

HeSapa | Adam and Krista Waha

Adam and Krista have lived and worked with the Waha People since 2017. They have
four children. Our area is home to the largest concentration of Arab Muslims outside the
Middle East and many other Unreached People Groups from around the world. Our
team exists to connect Muslims to Jesus and train and equip local churches to reach
Muslims around them. Adam is the current team leader and enjoys sitting on the floor
and drinking tea with friends from the community. Krista graduated with a nursing
degree. She now works as a nurse and part-time with our team. Krista tangibly blesses
our community in many ways, keeps our household running smoothly, and is gifted in
relational ministry. Our family loves having people in our home, getting to know their
stories, and sharing good food together!

Nations

An unreached people group is a people group distinguished by language and culture where generally less than 2% of the population is Christian and there is no indigenous community of believing Christians among them with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.

Kerry Pickard

Kerry’s ministry is centered on sharing God’s grace through everyday relationships. She serves as a link between Global Partners Europe and local Russian-speaking leaders, and spends much of her time discipling people of all ages, from 13 to 90, over a cup of coffee. To build bridges in her community, she teaches low-cost conversational English classes to reach students and youth, and in the summer, helps run a garden to bless local single moms and elderly neighbors with fresh produce.

AsOne | Uganda

AsOne believes that poverty alleviation efforts must shift from enabling dependency through charity and aid, to empowering local people to lead and drive change in their own community’s development. With this in mind AsOne uses donations to build self-sustaining communities with a quality school, health center, and economic opportunities for families. This investment builds long-term programs, empowers local leaders, and solves major challenges affecting rural Uganda.
